GoPro Hero 13 Black It was launched on Wednesday as the company’s highest-end action camera. It features optional interchangeable Hero Black (HB) series lenses and supports GPS and a magnetic latch mount. GoPro also claims that the new Hero 13 Black model offers longer runtime and improved thermal performance over its predecessor thanks to a larger battery. The company also said GoPro Hero This is the smallest, most rugged, waterproof 4K action camera with an LCD screen to date.
GoPro Hero 13 Black, GoPro Hero Price and Availability in India
The GoPro Hero 13 Black is priced at Rs 44,990 in India, while the GoPro Hero 13 Black Creator Edition is priced at Rs 64,990. The Hero 13 accessory bundle is also available for Rs 49,990. Both the models are available for pre-order starting today on Amazon, Flipkart, Croma and Reliance Digital. They will be available in retail stores from 6:30 PM on September 10.
The HB series comprises four products – an Ultra Wide-Angle Lens Mod (Rs 9,990), a Macro Lens Mod (Rs 12,990) and a four-pack of ND filters (Rs 6,990). GoPro is yet to announce the pricing of the Anamorphic Lens Mod, which will be launched in 2025.
Meanwhile, the new GoPro Hero model will be priced at Rs 23,990 and will be available for pre-order from September 16 and available for purchase from September 22.
GoPro Hero 13 Black Specifications
The GoPro Hero 13 Black has the same sensor as last year’s Hero 12 Black. It can record 5.3K resolution at 60fps, or 4K video at 120fps. The camera can also shoot 2.7K video at 240fps. It also supports 13x burst slow-motion video recording at resolutions up to 720p (400fps), 900p (360fps), and 5.3K (120fps). It also supports 10-bit Hybrid Log Gamma (HLG) HDR video recording.
The device can capture 27-megapixel photos with HDR as well as RAW photos. It has a 1.4-inch front LCD screen and a 2.27-inch rear touch screen. The company says it has a magnetic latch mounting mechanism, mounting fingers, and a 1/4-20 mounting thread. It also offers GPS support for geotagging videos. The action camera offers the same HyperSmooth 6.0 and HDR support introduced on the GoPro Hero 12 Black.
The new Hero 13 Black model is equipped with a 1,900mAh Enduro Li-ion rechargeable battery that is said to offer a longer runtime than the GoPro Hero 12 Black (1.5 hours for 5.3K video recording and 2.5 hours for 1080p video capture), is waterproof up to 10m, and has faster Wi-Fi 6 connectivity than its predecessor.
Meanwhile, the Creator Edition comes with a magnetic latch mount, a Volta battery grip that allows up to five hours of video recording at 4K/30fps, a media mod with two-way microphone recording (and support for third-party microphones), and an LED light mod with up to 200 lumens of brightness that also works with the GoPro mount.
GoPro Hero Specifications
The company says the new GoPro Hero is its smallest camera ever, weighing just 86 grams. It’s 35 percent smaller than the more expensive Hero 13 Black model, but unlike previous “mini” versions of the company’s action cameras, it includes an LCD touchscreen and mode button.
The GoPro Hero can record video at 4K/30fps or 1080p/30fps. Slow-motion videos can be shot at 2.7K/60fps or 1080p/60fps. Portrait and landscape video recording supports 16:9, 4:3, and 9:16 aspect ratios. It also takes 12-megapixel photos. The Quik app also includes support for HyperSmooth stabilization for videos.
The new GoPro Hero is waterproof up to 5m and features an Enduro battery that can record up to 100 minutes of video at 4K/30fps or 155 minutes at 1080p/30fps. The built-in battery can be charged using the included USB Type-C cable.
